| Little Shuswap, BC |

Amid the summer wildfires, Katherine & Doug exchanged their vows along the lakeside of her family home. With breathtaking views of the Little Shuswap Lake and the British Columbia mountains, they shared one of the most heartfelt ceremonies we’ve ever had been fortunate to witness. The sharing of their vows took place beneath an arbor built by the groom and adorned with wild greenery and florals.

As a special tribute to their profession as Indigenous teachers, the couple chose to host their reception at the iconic Quaaout Lodge. The rest as they say, was left up to us! Designing a day befitting this incredible couple was a task we were honoured to undertake. In order to balance their classic style with the peaceful and panoramic landscape, we chose to set the reception outdoors to feature the scenic views.

To bring to life the Katherine’s vision of an effortless and elegant dinner party, we combined lush and fragrant floral centrepieces, blush table numbers and a pop of warmth with gold cutlery to create simple yet intimate table settings.

Last but not least – to create a little magic – dozens of string lights were also

suspended from the trees above the guest tables to create a canopy of twinkling lights.

Under the warm glow, Katherine & Doug shared their first dance as husband and wife

in a memorable moment that left us all in awe.
